Decent standard of accommodation - good breakfast. Easy access to train station for travel to Dublin.
Beautiful hotel great staff value for money
Warm clean friendly lovely countryside
Excellent location for Dublin airport access. Staff was great. Hotel is very well run and room was perfect.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere from the moment we arrived, no pomp or self importance. This hotel is all about the guests. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We were there to attend a civil partnership, and celebration dinner. My table had a vegetarian and two vegans on it, whome the staff immediately and served the food appropriately. One of the Vegans was especially strict and unfortunately had to reject the first offerings, however in a flash (well a few short minutes) suitable alternatives were provided to his request. I've been in 5 star resturants that didn't provide anything like this service. The party went on well into the night and when we retired to the lobby the night manager was brilliant, looking after everybody. Well done to all the Staff who took everything in their stride and excelled. Bravo!!
We had booked a family room for 5 people and instead ended up with a lovely, 2 bedroom suite at the top of the hotel, with two bathrooms and even a small kitchen (which was certainly a bonus when travelling with 3 children). The suite was quiet, clean and well equipped (the two bathrooms were a real bonus and the jacuzzi bath was great!) and the staff were lovely.
Only 30 mins from the dublin ferry, very convenient for an overnight stop and exceptionally good value. the restaurant was excellent for evening meal and breakfast.
The staff were lovely food was fab stayed for my sis wedding would definitely recommend
The following morning the manager was polite and had read my email (sent at 1.20 a.m.). She was professional in her dealing with us and although she told us we had to pay full price (as we had booked throuh a booking agency) she did give us a voucher. We would however prefered a nights sleep or at the very least would have preferred not having to pay 109 euro for a torturous night!
Noice level was terrible and we got very little sleep. They played music until 4 a.m. because appartently there was a wedding downstairs and a band had been hired. The singsongs, laughing and loud talk continued through the night. We were on the 4th floor but it may as well have been in the room with us. No sound proofing. When I rang down to complain at 3 a.m. the person on reception hung up on me and left the phone off the hook. The following morning I still had to pay full price because they said I had booked through a booking agency and not through them so there was nothing they could do.
It was a central accommodation to facilities where we could take kids, on days when we did not want to travel we were able to enjoy the seaside. Staff very friendly and the rooms were very clean.
stayed for 3 nights given wrong room but staff very helpful and recieved complementery meal forthe inconvience. wonderful hotel and all the staff very plesant and helpful.would recommend the hotel to friends we really enjoyed our stay.
The service was excellent, the receptionist Sinead could not have been friendlier or done enough for us to enjoy our stay. Enquiries about train timetables and local pools etc where printed out and she even made the neccessary calls for us. The kids where given ballons to play with and the rooms where actually too well heated lol. The whole stay was absolutely brillant, the location is excellent, parking great. Definitely will go there again and highly recommend to others. A bargain family break. Caroline - August 2012, L/Derry, N. Ireland
Would have needed a fridge in room for medication. Had asked for one on booking but luckily we brought a small one with us. Other than that no problems.
Everything, we attended for a friends wedding. The room was lovely, food fantastic and service excellent. It was my first time in the hotel and would certainly recommend it.
Friendly helpful staff, pleasant room, reasonable prices
For some inexplicable reason we had a room with a bathroom (wet room) fitted for handicapped needs. We would have preferred a conventional bathroom especially as we were there for 5 nights not just a 1 night stop over.
We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and the food was very good, fresh and prepared to order.
I booked via the internet for myself and my two teenage daughters and according to the website the room would have either 1 double and 1 single bed or 2 double beds. Unfortunately when we arrived the room contained 1 double bed and a camp bed. The camp bed was totally unsatisfactory as my two daughters are teenagers and the bed was very uncomfortable. We ended up sharing the double bed. I would have appreciated a call from the hotel explaining that the hotel was busy and there were no family rooms available.
